OK, OK, apologies first - yes it is me screaming along with 350+ others. But hey, it's a singalong! This was quite simply one of my fave gigs of all time. Beaux Gris Gris and the Apocalypse are ON FIRE atm, and the hometown Devizes massive, friends, rellies, the newly converted, and - of course - us SICK INFANTS turned out in force. To open with their signature tune was a bold move (elsewhere it has been Trouble Is Coming), but we had been warned to expect the unexpected, and this album-launch gig was a party right from the start. And the look on Greta's face when the crowd bellowed back the answer to her question shows that just after 43 seconds into a gig that lasted two hours and 45 minutes, she knew it was gonna be a night to remember.
