Location: Station Road, Woolhampton Date Filmed: 22-10-2020 - Nearest Station: Midgham - Trains: Class 800 (Great Western Railway) The station and crossing are geographically in the village of Woolhampton, Berkshire, with the village of Midgham being over a mile away from this crossing. The reason for this was confusion between the stations of Wolverhampton and Woolhampton, leading to the station being renamed to Midgham in the 1870s. It appears the crossing has followed this name change as it is also officially called Midgham. Midgham is also known to be the least used station in Berkshire. Just over 100 metres south of this crossing is Woolhampton swing bridge over the River Kennet and Kennet and Avon Canal. Thanks For Watching!
