Three years ago I TR'd this climb as a warmup for the Cave nearby. Once I was up close to the gear placements, the idea of actually leading this this became far more appealing. Much like how I described "Left Out", just looking at this face begs for an attempt. That said, I had pre-ran this climb. About half the gear placements were planned, the rest being decided on the fly. Planned placements include: (1:53) #2 Yellow TCU, which in hindsight I should have used my BD 0.3 as the crack is pretty shallow and the dual stems make the placement a little awkward. The BD wouldn't have been that much better but it was all I had until the next placement. (7:43) Nut, obviously pre-rigged and a super bomber placement. (9:33) BD 0.4 At 9:45, I may have cheated a bit in grabbing the arete. Even having my hand that close is a little questionable as to how on route I am however at 10:03 you can see the large block (gap in the wall) that came off the route recently, or at least according to other climbers, that may have changed the route. At 14:51, I finally bail off the face and on to "Candy Corner" (5.6). I don't think the small bit left is to hard but rather I was out of gear (I went light) and pretty sure I had already done all the hard stuff and 90% of the climb. As to the validity of the send, I leave it to the internets. At very least, I leave everyone with a beta treasure trove.
