How to Download Uber & Sign Up for an Account

Watch this video if you want to get started using Uber. We’ll walk you through the steps of how to download the Uber app and how to create an Uber account. You can also follow the text-based steps below. To download Uber, open the app store on your smart phone. Navigate to the search bar, and type in “Uber.” When the app appears in the search results, tap the download button to install it. You may need to enter your app store password to complete the download. When the download completes, you can get started. To sign up for Uber, open the app on your mobile device, and enter your phone number. Uber will send you a text message with a 4-digit code. Next, enter the code you received. Now enter your email address. Then, choose a password. To complete your Uber account, enter your first and last name. Once you’ve created your Uber account, you’ll need to add your payment information before you can request rides from Uber. You can use your debit or credit card, or link your PayPal account. To add your Uber payment information, tap the menu icon in the top left corner. Then select Payment on the left. Next, tap Add Payment Method. Select the payment method you’d like to use. Enter your payment information, select the country you live in, and add your postal code. When you’re finished, tap Save.
