Morpholio's Youtube channel: / @morpholio Morpholio Trace & Shapr3D Join Forces to Imagine a New Workflow with iOS 12 Today, the two “darlings of the AE tech space” announce a collaboration that could mark the day the desktop lost its crown. The problem is that collaborative designers and architects are not chained to a desk, and there is a need to design in the field, with a client, or while on the go. “The iPad Pro has now become as powerful as our computers and has made it effortless to work between apps. This opened up the gateway for Shapr3D (link: https://www.shapr3d.com) and Morpholio Trace (link: https://www.morpholioapps.com/trace/) to rethink the design workflow, finally fusing together sketching and 3D modeling,” says Anna Kenoff, Morpholio Co-Founder. Morpholio’s new iOS 12 feature nicknamed, “Drag ’n’ Fly” allows users to literally put a live 3D model into their Trace sketches, create infinite views and then, automatically generates the perspective grids to draw over. In addition, Shapr3D, which has been called “SketchUp on steroids” now lets you bring 3D models directly into Trace. With these two working together, users can, finally import, view and soar around drawings and models together launching a brand new way to sketch, draw, markup or present with a 3D File. Previously, designers were forced to export one view at a time to sketch over, only to then discover, the view was not ideal and repeat the cumbersome process until it was correct. Imagine now, not just having one flattened background, but an infinite number of possible views to draw over as you work. Even better, imagine presenting your project by flying around a 3D model in Trace from sketch to sketch to sketch, and zooming directly into spaces and details. Just as the first iPod put a million songs in your pocket, picture never going back to the desktop and having endless possible sketch views with you anywhere and everywhere. “It’s as if the model were literally inside your sketchbook!” adds Kenoff.
