Here are some ways you can align the study of Bali or Indonesian culture with CCSS: English Language Arts (ELA) Standards Reading Informational Texts (RI) CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.4.2: Determine the main idea of a text and explain how it is supported by key details; summarize the text. Example: Students can read informational texts and watch videos about Bali and summarize the main ideas about its culture and history. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.7.1: Cite several pieces of textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text or videos.
