{Clips but no spoilers ^_^} Won 3rd place in GMV Awards 2012, Best Emotion Category =] Having my time consumed by FFXIII-2 atm, but here I am with a video after a near-month off, the reason being that some good stuff happened that inspired me to finish this. Seeing the influx of videos with the new clips is great, but avoiding the massive spoiler minefield is a skill I have yet to master. No spoilers here, though, rest assured. My editing is kinda simplistic on this, it didn't feel right to overdo the effects, I wanted it to be a bit more raw than usual. I pitched the audio because it got blocked in Japan. Don't know if I have any subbers there, but just in case :) Program: Sony Vegas Song: Didn't it rain? - Yoko Kanno None of the clips/songs used belong to me, all rights belong to respective owners. _______________________________________________ As an additional note: The other day, I got an aeroplane for the first time in my life. Always been afraid, even ran away from my family at the airport as a child. I never ever thought I could do it, couldn't imagine doing what I've been doing today - filling out the annoyingly complicated paperwork to spend a semester in China next year :D There was lots of crying and swearing involved, but I had some great people to help me who have totally changed my life. My parents couldn't believe it when I told them. So yes, I guess what I'm saying is, anything's possible ^_^ Alll the best x x x x ____________________ EDIT - For GMV Awards - 'Any emotion, if sincere, is involuntary.' Sorry if this gets long-winded, but the best way to explain the feelings in this video is to explain what it means to me. I was hesitant at posting it, mainly because it's my landscape painting of so many different emotions. There's fear, loss, disappointment, love, guilt and rage - but the ribbon that ties them all together and the emotion that this video is truly about, is hope. This video was created in commemoration of the day I got my hope back, the day I conquered my Everest, and of all my works it is the one that I have the strongest emotional resonance with. It doesn't matter how bad things get or how much of a lost cause you feel you are, there is always hope. I believed I was born with my fear, I believed it was an illness that I could never get rid of. I believed that all my life, until February this year. I wanted to show an emotional journey, rather than just an emotion. It's hard to put something that's so personal up for scrutiny, but this video is true to my emotions more than anything I've ever made, so here it is :)
