Hy guys! We invite you to watch an another part of our Turkish - Georgian adventure. All good things come to an end, after 10 unforgettable days in Georgia, unfortunately its time for us to return to Turkey. We wanted to cross the border at a smaller border point, not the main one, from the Black Sea coast. Unfortunately, that border crossing was closed, so we had to turn back. We lost some time, but once again we had the opportunity to admire the Georgian landscapes. After we crossed the Turkish border, in the first city, Hopa, we leave the main road and we turned to the mountains. The road runs along the Chorokhi River. This river flows in northeastern Turkey, through the cities of Bayburt, Ispir, Yusufeli and Artvin, and flows into the Black Sea near Batumi. A total of 17 hydroelectric dams have been built on this river and 8 dams have been completed (Arkun, Artvin, Borçka, Deriner, Güllübağ, Murtli, Tortum and Yusufeli dams) and two more are under construction. We are surprised by the size of the dams, the number of the viaducts, the nearly 27 kilometers of tunnels and the growing infrastructure. We are riding on the plateau of Anatolia, at an altitude between 1500-2000 meters. The view it's amazing. The rain chase us several times, but we managed to escape just with a few drops. We arrived in Erzincan in the evening, we found a small hotel, where we spent the night.
