Game still in development, final appearance and features may differ. ;P In a previous video I showed off an earlier, simpler, version of this game which represented merely the milestone that all the console's subsystems were functional at the same time. This time around, it's actually a whole (albiet brief) game... It's got a title screen and everything! Some features implemented since last time: Music engine that loads from compressed music data Sound effect system that borrows audio channels from the music and seamlessly give them back after finishing a sound effect "Active" objects placed by special tiles in the map data, that get updated every frame Items that get picked up on contact HP counter and damage system Enemies/obstacles that block your path and reduce your HP Title screen / end screen At this point I might yet add a second map the same size as the current one... provided I can free up about a hundred bytes. Also: This game, its source, and an emulator for Windows/Mac/Linux are up on GitHub!
