Who says that a song with a message can't make you groove?! Batuk’s fourth single ‘Puta’ is a bass heavy missile against bullies, trolls, perverts and chauvinists. The South Africa crew have created a Moombahton influenced disinfectant, a pesticide for all the creepy crawlies out there on the dancefloor. It's a particularly energetic track from their debut album, Musica da Terra, which will be released on May 27th 2016, on Teka Music. Part riot gurrrl part round- the-way gurrrl, Manteiga cruises around her neighborhood of Reiger Park in Johannesburg, rounding up troops with her powerful call to arms. Along with the rage, Manteiga brings charm and charisma, to the anthem song. Puta is inspired by idiots who constantly harass and catcall at women. The song was provoked by an experience when Batuk was on their last tour in Berlin, and a passer by grabbed her and shouted “Puta!”. The track is power song about women who are tired of the violence, nuisance and harassment. It’s a scream for idiots to sit down and cut the shit. It’s a new time.
