Welcome Diagnosing the Edge was a pretty common process. Concern comes and goes. Some codes are stored in memory. Since we got some codes we'll go after those codes and hopefully it leads us to the problem. Following Fords pinpoint test can be confusing if your over thinking the process. Do each test and make sure you follow each step. I've seen many techs over the years that try to out smart the process when they could have just followed the steps and most likely fixed the problem. Just like i was saying do not fight the process. I ran into a step O11 that I was questioning. I performed the test it was requesting. If I would have followed it to a T, I would have been chasing a problem that was not there. I continued the pinpoint test to gather as much information as possible to diagnose and fix the problem. Then the next step had me checking resistance on one of the circuits in question on the previous step. So I was already proving the wiring from the hvac module to the temp blend door motor are in good shape. Since the circuits are testing good this tells me our problem is most likely in the blend door actuator. Before replacing left blend door motor I reconnected all the connector in the system and operated the system to see if the problem acts up again. Yes it did act up again. I was able to verify this by clearing codes. Setting temp to 60 then monitoring temp with a temp gauge in the vent I say temp dropping. I then set temp to hot and saw the temp start to go hot. Then I set the temp to cold. This time the temperature continued to go hot. This is the original concern. I then checked for codes. Yes! The codes for the actuator came back. I proceeded to replace left temperature blend door actuator. Retested after replacing. Problem fixed! I went ahead and replaced the passenger side blend door motor just to be on the safe side. Id hate to give the Edge back to Evan and it start to have an issue with the passenger side. We got both replaced, test drove rechecked again. Problem solved!!!
