Psalm 8 lifts our eyes to the heavens and then brings us face to face with a profound question: “What is man that You are mindful of him?” In this teaching, we explore Christian anthropology through the lens of Scripture, beginning with David’s awe before creation and moving through the origin, nature, fall, and restoration of humanity. We examine what the Bible teaches about: • The origin of man and why special creation matters • The image of God in humanity and what it means for dignity, purpose, and accountability • The inner life of the soul, including intellect, will, and conscience • The Fall of man and its devastating ripple effects on every aspect of life • Clear evidence of divine design in creation • Why a right view of humanity shapes how we live, love, and worship Finally, we look to the gospel as the true answer to our deepest questions about who we are. In Christ, fallen image bearers are forgiven, renewed, and restored by grace through faith.
