Coming Home. Iron Maiden Acoustic Cover

Albion is an old word for England. Our friend in the song is Coming Home to England on the big Silver Thunderbird. We know he's flying trans-Atlantic, but it's not clear why he's been away.It only mentions him thinking "of what we've done". I like to think this is a sequel to their brilliant song "Wasted Years" which is partly about a rock musician travelling the world seemingly having the time of his life, but actually simply missing his girl. What do you think? Update - February 2025:- One of my lovely listeners tells me that Bruce Dickinson is a qualified airline pilot. The band had their own plane called Ed Force One. This was the "Silver Thunderbird" in the song, which Bruce piloted himself to and from gigs. Bruce wrote this song in his head on the way home whilst flying trans Atlantic after a band tour, thinking of "what we did".
