Bio: Cali works at LifeArc as Alliance Manager, Global Health, bringing extensive experience from the Novartis Foundation, where she worked on strengthening health systems and developing community health models across India, Vietnam, Cambodia and sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to this, Cali spent more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry—first in Europe, then across Asia and Africa—focusing on international access-to-medicine initiatives in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She also founded her own health consultancy to gain new perspectives and support projects with product development partnerships (PDPs), NGOs, and global health institutions such as WHO and GARDP. Cali has always been deeply passionate about improving outcomes for patients in LMICs, advocating for higher standards of care and working to remove barriers to access. She is particularly interested in “feet-on-the-ground” implementation—translating vision into reality through collaboration and behaviour change among local stakeholders to achieve lasting impact. Cali holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (& Masters Degrees in Forensic Science /Clinical Genetics) and has extensive experience managing programs in infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases (including cardiovascular, diabetes, and oncology), neglected tropical diseases, and rare diseases. After spending the past 22 years living and working across Asia and Africa—including India, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Uganda, and Rwanda—Cali has recently returned to Europe.
