This classic downtown hotel is a 9-minute walk from Wall Street, a mile from Battery Park and 0.3 miles' drive from Pace University. Casual rooms include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus custom-designed beds, desks and coffeemakers. Some rooms feature balconies. There's free on-site hot breakfast (daily) and weekday breakfast bags to go, plus coffee and tea in the lobby. Additional amenities include a business center and a fitness room. Very good hotel that is close to a lot of the lower Manhattan tourist destinations, and plenty of good food options. You can pretty much walk to everything nearby, but the bus also stops on the street in front very close to the hotel. There is a parking garage a few meters away on the opposite side of the street that can be used for those who are driving around. My room was clean when I arrived, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was actually quite good. They did a good job of making sure it was stocked for the entire duration of the breakfast hours so that everyone could get what they wanted. Breakfast was over at 10:00, which is excellent compared to the hotels that have it only from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m. or earlier. Not everyone is hungry at 7:00 in the morning! You can also check out at noon here, which gives plenty of time to enjoy breakfast and take the time after to relax and let your food settle before heading out.
