This is video number one on MooCowBlue Ukes and is featuring a review of the Caramel CT904 Ebony Tenor Acoustic Electric Ukulele that is one of my favorite ukuleles in my collection. I decided to showcase this ukulele to prove that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a quality ukulele. I started off when I was a new ukulele player buying just about every ukulele I could find on sale from Amazon. I didn't have a local ukulele store anywhere near me and I was afraid to spend a lot of money online at first on a ukulele that I had never played. I did have the advantage that I had played and worked on guitars for many years and so had some skills and tools needed already to do my own set-up on most ukuleles. That, along with only buying ukuleles that had free returns I was able to address most issues and return those beyond my skills and desires to correct. The brands that I bought on Amazon that had the least amount of issues were that of Caramel, Lanikai, Kmise, and Enya. Oddly the brand I had the most issues with was Islander by Kanile'a which is generally considered to be one of the higher end starter ukuleles. Almost all of the 8 Islander ukuleles I bought off Amazon had to be returned and I would only recommend buying that brand through a proper ukulele Music store that offers set-ups.
