After Years of Rumours, Rashmika and Vijay Finally Get Married in Udaipur | ISH News

South Indian film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have officially tied the knot, putting years of dating rumours to rest and sending fans into celebration mode. The two actors first met on the sets of Geetha Govindam in 2018 and later worked together in Dear Comrade. Their strong on-screen chemistry quickly sparked relationship rumours, though the pair never confirmed their status publicly. In October 2025, they quietly got engaged in Hyderabad, hinting that the long-running speculation might be true. After months of secrecy, the couple got married on 26 February 2026 at the ITC Mementos resort in Udaipur, located in the scenic Aravalli Hills. The celebrations began on 23 February with intimate pre-wedding events, including a cosy Japanese-themed dinner and a friendly cricket match called the Virosh Premiere League, named after the nickname fans lovingly use for the couple. The wedding was kept strictly private, with only close family members and a few special friends in attendance. Reports said several streaming platforms offered nearly ₹60 crore for exclusive footage, but the couple declined, choosing to keep the ceremony personal rather than commercial. Honouring both their roots, the couple held a Telugu Hindu ceremony followed by a Kodava-style celebration. Vijay comes from a Telugu Hindu family from Telangana, while Rashmika belongs to the Kodava community of Kodagu. Traditional Vedic rituals began around 10:10 am. Rashmika wore a rust-orange silk saree with temple-inspired designs and heavy gold jewellery that reportedly took 10 months to create. Her veil carried the words in every lifetime. Vijay complemented her look with an ivory dhoti and vermillion angavastram, along with elaborate traditional jewellery. Their combined jewellery was estimated to be worth around ₹7 crore. The couple followed a strict no-phone policy during the wedding to ensure guests stayed fully present. After the ceremony, their team distributed sweets to paparazzi waiting outside, a gesture that fans praised widely online. On 27 February, the newlyweds made their first public appearance at the Udaipur airport. Rashmika, in a bright red traditional outfit, and Vijay, in a simple kurta-pyjama, walked hand in hand, smiling and waving to photographers. Social media quickly went into a frenzy, with many fans calling one particular back-facing photo of the couple Shiv-Parvati coded. While the Udaipur ceremony was intimate, a grand reception is planned in Hyderabad on 4 March 2026, with many film industry friends expected to attend. Another celebration in Mumbai is also being discussed.
