Basic Rifle Handling (BRH) Assessment for the Ranger Trainees

One of the extra modules included in our world class field guide training course is the BRH assessment. This video has been put together to show you how the assessment is run and what it entails. There are 3 progressive parts: first test, 15 seconds to load 3 rounds of ammunition and aim whilst blindfolded. Second test, is then 3 rounds fired at a 15m target, no time restraint, but all rounds must fall within the scoring zone to progress. Then the third and hardest is to hit 3 targets (15m, 10m, 5m) from a standing position within 18 seconds, scoring a minimum of 30 points. Practice makes perfect! The rifle skills are a vital part of a ranger's armoury, so this part of the course is most definitely one of the toughest to pass.
