It has the 5.2L 4HK1 4-cylinder Turbo Diesel, which is the highest engine option for this truck. It also can come with a 3.0L turbo diesel as well as a 6.0L GM sourced V8 gas. Mated to the engine is an Aisin 465 6-Speed Automatic transmission. I was asked if I would be ok with a 16ft, with no other option with any other company I had to say yes. There was only one available and it was at the mercy of the previous user returning it during overnight drop off. Ryder also requires you pay for a full week of service with the truck as a deposit, and for this particular truck it is in excess of $1,000 even for just one day. So be sure to keep that in mind when renting. I was not given any kind of discount for not being given the right truck. The truck was also fairly dirty inside the cab and box.
