So close, yet so far away - First Tournament of the 2025 Season

What's up everybody! Went out and fished a bass lunkers tournament not this past weekend, but the weekend before last. This was on 2/22/25 at lake bonny, central Fl. The tournament was fished from my Nucanoe, but any jon boats, kayaks, or small vessels could've been used. The day was better than I expected amongst cold conditions and cool northern wind. The goal for the day was to fish as slow as possible as I knew the temp changes would have the bass stuck on bottom somewhere. We were able to find them here and there but it was a grind. Fortunately we came across 5 of the right bite, but no kicker. I was using a water melon green senko with red flakes. The area near the hydrilla was super clear, so I kept the color natural. All in all, the day turned out great and we were able to secure a top 4 position. Hopefully we can continue this streak in the near future. Stay tuned for more fishing videos! Thanks for watching!
