This was created purely for my own fun. In this universe, when Athanasia fled from Claude after he lost his memories and tried to kill her (her MAIN TRAUMA), she ended up in the Demon Slayer universe. What matters here is that she became friends with several characters: Tomioka, Shinobu, Kanae, Urokodaki, Tamayo, Yushiro (she met Tamayo and Yushiro in Tokyo and ended up helping them in the same way Tanjiro would years later), Kagaya and Amane, as well as the Butterfly Mansion girls. They are the only ones who know about Athanasia’s origin. Nobody knows she is royalty, reincarnated, or a time traveler. Very few know anything about her father either. She met Kanae and Shinobu when they were 16 and 13, while Athanasia was 14. Claude’s curse, cast by Anastacius, also affected Athanasia, and just like him, she is dying. But in her case, her *body* is the one most affected. She basically suffers from an incurable “disease.” She became a swordswoman out of a desire not to be a burden to Kanae and Shinobu. Almost as a way of repaying a debt, since Kanae had once saved her life from a demon when she first arrived in that world. When Kanae died, Athanasia was present. Due to certain circumstances (a joint mission) and the trauma of witnessing her friend’s death right in front of her, she awakened as a *Transcendental* — basically an immortal being with pure, almost divine magic. Because of this, she had to remain even more hidden from other swordsmen. Gradually, this blessing began to cure the curse inside her, but in the worst way: while her strength and health improved, every time she used magic, things got worse. Even her hair began turning white. Remember: Athanasia is a crazy/genius type, someone from another world and even from a modern era, so she introduced concepts that left even Shinobu confused. She helped with many things and played her part. *About the Hashira:* Obanai, Sanemi, and Uzui don’t have very original opinions about her. They found her jewel-like eyes strange and became suspicious of her behavior. Shinobu keeps her distance, afraid of losing yet another older sister. On top of that, she knows that when she first met Athanasia, she hurt the girl a lot with her behavior (the classic tsundere). Mitsuri really likes Athy. She finds her very beautiful, with unique eyes. She doesn’t approve of Athanasia being so active as a demon slayer because of her “illness.” She was one of the few who actually witnessed what Athanasia looks like during a mission. And NO, she doesn’t know about Athanasia’s magic. Tomioka is an old friend. He eventually discovered her powers and rationally accepted that she wasn’t a threat like demons are. He likes her (their relationship is like a Tanjiro & Tomioka sibling dynamic 2.0, except she’s more reserved, and they’ve argued a few times — like when he helped the Kamado siblings). Muichiro sees his mother in her, just as he sees his father in Tanjiro. Himejima considers her a kind girl, even knowing there are many “barriers” around her. And he knows she’s hiding something that not even the Master would like to hear — at her own request. In the final battle, Genya, Muichiro, and Mitsuri survive thanks to her, even though Mitsuri lost both arms and Muichiro lost a hand and a leg. Lucas searched for her for about 70 years, trapped in a loop across universes, and solved many of Obelia’s problems in her absence. Athanasia regained the memories of her first life after Kanae’s death, and she remembers her romance with Lucas from the first timeline, just as he eventually does. And when I say he solved Obelia’s problems: he cured Claude’s curse, restoring even his first timeline memories, as well as Jennette’s and Anastacius’s. And speaking of Anastacius — Lucas sealed Aethernitas and Anastacius was imprisoned. Athanasia holds deep resentment toward Jennette, Claude, even Felix (for always being far too loyal to Claude, who didn’t deserve it), and her mother (for having “abandoned” her). Athanasia is very bitter here and has absolutely no sympathy for those who wronged her in any way.
