The Sion Road over Bridge, a British-era infrastructure that acts as a crucial link in the city, will be entirely off-limits for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the next two years. This closure will begin on January 20th. It is a part of the railway restructuring program at the Sion Railway Station, where two new lines are being added between CSMT and Kurla Station. The old bridge, in dire need of urgent repairs and other construction work, is expected to be completely revamped by January in two years' time.
