What does GLOCALISATION really mean for African education? In this episode, we sit down with "Afema Emmanuel", an education anthropologist, to unpack how global ideas can be meaningfully adapted to local African contexts. Afema challenges us to rethink dependency-driven models of education and instead "diversify, value, and mobilize Africa’s own resources"—cultural, intellectual, and material—to shape a future-ready education system. The discussion explores how indigenous knowledge, local innovation, and contextual learning can drive sustainable progress while still engaging with global trends. 🎓 In this episode, we explore: What glocalisation means in education Why African education must move beyond borrowed models The role of culture, identity, and anthropology in learning How local resources can power future education narratives What educators, policymakers, and institutions can do now This conversation is a call to "reclaim agency", rethink relevance, and boldly shape Africa’s education future from within. 📺 Watch, reflect, and join the conversation. 💬 Share your thoughts in the comments: How can African education better reflect African realities?
