The Best Vegan Gravy Recipe About 20 minutes Serves 6-25 (depending on how much you love gravy) 1 c neutral flavored cooking oil (safflower, grapeseed, etc) 1/4 corn starch 2 c nutritional yeast 1/2 T salt black pepper to taste 3 c water 2 T soy sauce or tamari Heat the oil over medium heat. Slowly add in the corn starch, whisking to combine until dissolved. Add in the nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper and stir to combine. Continue to cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add in the water, whisking to combine. Add the soy sauce or tamari and whisk to combine. Continue to cook over medium heat until the gravy thickens to your taste.
