On January 27, 2025, our rider Maud Le Car surfed Belharra for the first time. Storm Herminia sent XXL waves crashing onto the coast, with the Arcachon buoy recording over 11 meters. Two days earlier, her teammate Léo Havion had called her, telling her to be ready: the day was shaping up to be as historic as the Hercules swell of 2014… After deciding to step away from competition last year to focus on seeking new sensations in free surfing, was she ready? Trained enough and confident enough? The start of her winter had been intense, learning step-off surfing and hunting big barrels in Hossegor.
