Driving in Istanbul's Historical Peninsula. Istanbul is the historical city from 330 to 1453. For its predecessor in Greek and early Roman times, Byzantium. For Constantinople during the Ottoman era and the modern city. Istanbul was the capital city of the Roman Empire (330–395), the Byzantine Empire (395–1204 and 1261–1453), the brief Crusader state known as the Latin Empire (1204–1261), and the Ottoman Empire (1453–1923). Now it is one of the gems of modern Turkey. Driving in these areas is not easy because roads are tight. Luckily there is not much traffic as I expected. Started my drive from Beyazıt and continue to Sultanahmet area with narrow roads. Sultanahmet Square and Hagia Sophia area are closed for traffic. So I drive around the historical area though to Topkapi Palace and finally connect to coast road at Cankurtaran. Hope you will enjoy it. 00:00 Intro 00:32 [District] Beyazıt 02:38 [Church] Ayia Kiriaki Greek Orthodox Church 03:01 [Mosque] Behram Çavuş Mosque 03:45 [District] Kadırga 05:42 [Cistern] Theodosius Cistern 06:10 [Tomb] Keçecizade Fuat Paşa Tomb 07:20 [Square] Sultanahmet Square 08:15 [Historical] Remains of Sphendone 09:38 [Bazaar] Arasta Bazaar 09:59 [Museum] Great Palace Mosaic Museum 10:10 [Historical] Hagia Sophia in a different view 11:42 [Historical] Walls of Topkapi Palace 12:30 [District] Cankurtaran 13:03 [View] Sea of Marmara 13:40 Last 10 seconds oOo Instagram: / saitkus Website: https://www.saitkus.com Twitter: https://www.twitter.com Facebook: / saitkus oOo
