NYU Clinical Assistant Professor, Cammie Kim Lin talks about will be the first young adult crossover cookbook, establishing a new and much-needed market for cookbooks. It was written with readers in their upper teens and early-to-mid twenties in mind, but it will have appeal and strong marketability for cooks of any age who need more instruction than typical cookbooks offer. In addition to extensive photography, technique instruction, and a global collection of recipes that draw on our very multicultural families, the book highlights culinary history, cultural authenticity and inter-connectedness, and sustainability. The book also includes a number of "guest recipes," for which we collaborated with a number of the most prominent chefs and cookbook authors, including Alice Waters, Bryant Terry, Sean Sherman, Clair Ptak, Sohui Kim, Russell Moore, and Scott Peacock (with a recipe he wrote with Edna Lewis).
