I've had my Model Y Long Range AWD car for over 2 years and put nearly 50,000 onto it. The battery has a small amount of degradation, and I've lost 5.4kWh of capacity. Can we fix it? Yes we can! My NCM battery pack is recommended to operate within a narrow state of charge for daily use - 20 to 80%. That doesn't allow the computer to fully calibrate the battery capacity. But what if we run the car really low, then charge to 100% and leave it plugged in? How much of that lost capacity can we restore?
