After work, my girlfriend and I drove to Centralia, IL to catch the NS Heritage Duo NS 1073 & NS 8102 leading CN A432. We were going to catch it in Odin, IL, but we didn't have time to make there because by the time we went over the tracks on highway 15 we could see his head lights South of Odin, IL. We took the first road that had a railroad crossing as soon as we went over the tracks. The train took the siding at Centralia to do work which was pick up an engine, pick up cars, and set out three cars. After catching it in Centralia, my girlfriend and I drove a couple miles south to Irvington, IL to wait for the train to get done with its work. Around 1:30pm after Amtrak went South, CN A432 toned up the dispatcher letting them that they were done with their work and was ready to head South. When I heard NS 1073 blow its horn North of me, I quickly began to setup at the railroad crossing. After the train ended my girlfriend and I went back to Shiloh. We had a good Saturday that day.
