I have owned these planters for twenty years and my crops always do well growing in them. The earthboxes are not organic as they require fertilizer to be added in a slow release fashion. You could water them with liquid organic fertilizer as an option but the earthboxes are designed to grow a whole season to harvest simply by adding water only. Most vegetable crops grow best in ground but I have found that peppers do better for me growing in these planters. These planters are great for those who have very limited garden space or even balcony space. You will be surprised how much food you can grow in these boxes.
