Fundamental to democracy is our ability to elect and hold accountable our leaders. In 2009 Governor Perdue attempted to rob voters of their constitutional right to elect our head of education by appointing an Education Czar. This bureaucrat was accountable only to her, and paid twice the salary of your elected State Superintendent. Now Richard Alexander is running to do the same? This South Carolina teacher is running for North Carolina's State Superintendent claiming the elected post should be pulled from voters and the authority turned over to the Governor. Governors like Bev Perdue? This is the wrong agenda for us in North Carolina. It would put crony bureaucrats in charge and leave our schools more vulnerable to the Federal Government. North Carolina already REJECTED the Perdue Alexander Agenda as Unconstitutional in NC. It deprives voters of accountable leadership, costs taxpayers more, and serves bureaucrats - not children. Fortunately, Alexander and Perdue cannot do this without a Constitutional Amendment. Our schools need a strong accountable elected leader. On July 17th VOTE John Tedesco for proven leadership. John Tedesco can get the bureaucrats out of the classroom so our teachers can teach. John Tedesco can increase local controls because all the answers shouldn't come from Raleigh, and certainly not from Washington. John Tedesco can reduce wasteful spending, support teachers, empower parents and protect students. Our children deserve better; they deserve a champion. www.Tedesco4kids.com Follow US on Facebook!
