As proud members of the Royal British Legion Riders Branch, we are gearing up for an incredible challenge to support the Royal British Legion poppy appeal. On June 7, 2025, 6 RBLR members from North Wales will be embarking on a 1000-mile endurance motorcycle ride to raise vital funds for this important cause. The event, which has been running since 2009, has consistently made a significant contribution to the Poppy Appeal. The North Wales RBLR1000 team for 2025 is: Phil Jones: Riding his Triumph Tiger 1200 XCA Phil will be riding the North Clockwise Route. Phil is no stranger to the RBLR1000 event having completed it an amazing 9 times before and 1 armistice 1000 event in Nov 201 Gareth Moses: Riding his Honda VFR1200 Gareth is also no stranger to the RBLR1000 having completed it 8 times previously. This year he will be riding the North Clockwise Route Martin Moyse: Riding his Benelli TRK702x Martin will be riding the Southern Anti-Clockwise route. Martin has previously completed the RBLR1000 North route in 2023 Daz Elie Riding his Triumph Tiger 1200 XCX Daz will be riding the Northern Clockwise route for his first attempt at the RBLR1000 Jason Bassett Jason will be riding his first RBLR1000 and taking the Northern Clockwise route on his Yamaha Tracer 700. Gez Hawkins This will be Gez's first attempt at the RBLR1000, he will be riding his Triumph Trophy on the Southern Anti-Clockwise route. The ride will take us through breathtaking landscapes in Wales, England and Scotland (depending on chosen route). It's not just a physical challenge; it's an opportunity to honor and support our Armed Forces and their families. All participating motorcyclist cover all costs associated with the ride, so every penny you donate will go directly to the Royal British Legion Lloyd's Branch. Your support will enable them to continue their incredible work of providing assistance to serving and ex-serving members of the Armed Forces and their families.
