China completes world's largest gas pipeline with Russia, which's to power Shanghai by end of 2024

With the last section of a natural gas pipeline between Russia and China now complete, officials from China Oil and Gas Piping Network Corp say the pipe is nearly ready to start delivering LNG to customers. The pipeline crosses the Russian border at Heihe in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province, before stretching 5,000 kilometers into China with Shanghai as its destination.
