I had a slight influx of people claiming that "Old, Outdated Tech" doesn't work in 3D unmasking tests. There can be certain "configurations" where this is the case but it also depends on the machine you're using and the frequency it's running at, also coil height and swing speed comes into play, especially when using any Tesoro/analog machine, they all have their sweet spots As we know, we can never recreate real 'in ground' hunting conditions, in my demonstration I'm trying to replicate a scenario that I come across a lot on the river Thames. This is when a non ferrous target can be suspended in-between one or more pieces of iron. My videos have shown all my machines working great in these specific instances .. BUT you have to know what a potential masked target sounds like, if you don't then you could mistake it as a false signal. You'll notice that I'm using a small silver coin in relation to the nails that I've chosen to use, it's common sense that if the coin was larger or the nails were smaller then the results would probably be better. When I swing I'm listening for any "TELL" in the tone that there could be a masked target, it needs to be enough of a signal for me to investigate. Both the machines that I use in this video give me enough of a signal that I'd stop and take a closer look. Do these types of tests REALLY prove a machines ability to unmask targets in the ground? That’s debatable because some machines actually perform better in the ground than in air, I personally believe Tesoro detectors perform better in the ground than above it. Do Tesoro machine outperform digital machines? No not in some areas. Like I've said many times before, use whatever machine you want but don't come spouting bullshit in my comments section when it's clear you don't know what you're talking about. If you're this kind of twat then my channel isn't for you, metal detecting isn't a competition. It's suppose to be an enjoyable hobby but it appears that it's slowly getting ruined by a bunch of pricks. I won't be posting anymore videos like this because I'm far more interested in actually getting out and hunting in the real world, all these test videos ran their course for me a long time ago. I love all my detectors and getting out detecting is a positive therapy for me. From now on I will be ignoring the petty bullshit that the 'online' metal detecting theatre can create.
