The Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the scheme for conducting the Census of India 2027, with a total estimated cost of ₹11,718.24 crore. This census will be one of the largest administrative and statistical exercises in the world. Press Information Bureau 🔍 Key Highlights: ✔️ Census 2027 will be conducted in two phases: Houselisting & Housing Census (April–September 2026) and Population Enumeration (February 2027).
