Ingredients: (Yields approx 9 buns) 300g all purpose/plain flour 40g sugar 2 teaspoons dry yeast 120ml warm milk 1 egg 30g coconut oil or vegetable oil 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/3 teaspoon salt 100 grams blueberries 250 grams vanilla pastry cream or approx half the recipe: How to make vanilla pastry cream and recipe: • One pot - Vanilla Pastry Cream, easy to make. To make egg wash: 1 egg 1 tablespoon milk Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown. Tips: 1) Proof the dough in a lightly greased bowl with oil or butter for about 1 hour or until double in size. 2) Knock back the dough to get rid of air pockets before rolling out. 3) Roll out into 0.5cm thickness sheet in rectangular form. 4) Spread pastry cream over the sheet. Do not over fill. Leave about 2 cm at edge for easy sealing. 5) Cut the roll into 4 cm long buns using dental floss string. 6) Proof buns a second time for approx 30 minutes. 7) Brush the buns with egg wash before putting in an oven. #BluberryCustardBuns #custardbuns #PastryCreamBuns #CookBakeAndEnjoy
