Stellarium is a powerful tool, but you have to know its limits and how far back it can display accurate data based on ephemeris calculations. Have you ever seen the sun displayed off the ecliptic line when looking at the distant past in Stellarium? This video will show you how to install more accurate ephemeris data for more extended time periods using NASA's JPL DE430, DE431, DE440, DE441 data. Here is the link to the JPL download directory to get the files: https://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/ftp/eph/plan... Many thanks to the wonderful developers of Stellarium, available as a free download here: https://stellarium.org/ ⚙️ Turn up YouTube streaming quality to display labels more clearly. 🌓The Archaeoastronomy Database facilitates the gathering of crowd-sourced data relating to archaeoastronomy. 🏺 Link to the Database: http://www.exploreglobe.net/archaeoas... 💻 Archaeoastronomy Database on Facebook: / archastrodb 🌄 Please support our work to build a community for archaeoastronomy research as we improve the database and create video content dealing with possible alignment investigations, site information, and general astronomy/archaeoastronomy concepts.
