Donington Park Crashes/Highlights, No Limits Racing, 27 - 28/9/25

A VERY last minute deviation to the No Limits finale for me as tire troubles, a vanishing email and the ultimate conclusion that I didn't deserve stage access even if the email hadn't vaporized into non-existence for the Trackrod Rally, meant that the plan for this weekend had to be completely reworked at the 11th hour. So apologies for those of you looking for footage of that, there are already a lot of you in my inbox, but I cannot drag 8 cameras and 8 tripods and 8 batteries and food and water all through a forest for several miles. Contrary to popular belief, I am not a donkey. So it was scrapped. Maybe for the best, as it looked rather dusty anyway. Anyway, No Limits Finals! A cold Saturday saw a surprising amount of people off at the craners (particularly on the warm up laps!) and the odd title challenge ended in dramatic fashion. Proof as we saw last time out with the BRSCC of just how much track temperature really matters to your survival out here. The evenings ACU Endurance 3 Hour race was briefly halted by very localized rain causing one rider to take a light tumble compounded by the following rider mowing the poor chap over at the Melbourne loop, but I do understand that said competitor is on the mend thankfully. I have to apologise to Danny here as well, as both cameras up in the Redgate stand packed up due to a battery issue, so there's no footage of that. Again another problem caused by a lack of vehicular access! You can't go round and check on things and bring the correct batteries into the venue, when you cannot drive round the place... Sunday saw a surprising amount of dampness, in fact at home it was still raining very heavily when I left. As usual, not in the forecast! But sunshine and shockingly warm weather for a late September made its way through after the second CB500 race was halted for an oil spill, and by the time we restarted it was almost entirely dry. Some smart reworking of the lunch break working in everyone's favor, and from that point on everything was pretty drama free. And the cameras worked for the most part too! A neat end to the bike racing season for No Limits, with both days being ran very well in terms of getting it all done on time, but not for Donington as BMCRC will have to survive the cold of October (in theory) in a few weeks time, and you might just see us there once again...
