The (Out) Standing Stones of Stenness on the Orkney Isles dates from around 3100 BC which makes it the oldest stone circle on the British Isles. I’m standing next to these megaliths which will give you a sense for the sheer scale of them - standing at a maximum height of around six metres (around 19 feet).
