I was introduced to it in a few memorable ways. First was when I was little, my sister had gotten a Karaoke machine. It had a Halloween disc and one of the tracks was this, and another was Flying Purple People eater. I always wondered if the people eater was purple or if it ate purple people. The next way I was introduced was my mom was a huge Glee fan and she'd watch the show. I occasionally watched it with her whenever they had music that I liked. They did a Rocky Horror special and featured this song in it. The next way was from being a fan of Meatloaf. He is in the musical for Hot Patootie (Bless my soul) for pretty much just that one scene. I'm a huge Meatloaf fan (singer and the food) and so I started looking up stuff that he was in. I found out he was in the musical, so I watched it for my very first time my freshman year of college. The final introduction to the song was with my school's marching band. We did a Halloween show and played this on the field with one of my friends wearing a sheet on his head and running around as a ghost. It was quite funny and I'd imagine fun for him since he just got to run around and bug us as we played (Look up The MOB. We stand in place as we play instead of a traditional marching band). Needless to say, the song is hard to escape from. It's quite fun to play and I struggled with it a lot when I was first learning it a few years back. Keep practicing and you'll be sure to get it.
