UP: Couple shot dead in Meerut, police investigation underway

A couple in Pepla village of Meerut was shot dead on February 19. The incident has created panic in the area. As soon as the information was received, SSP reached the spot and inquired about the incident. The Police also found a pistol on the spot. The name of the deceased couple is Devendra and Sakshi. At present, the police are probing the matter. However, the Police have detained the father and brother of the woman. Meerut SSP Rohit Singh said, “The dead body of a young man was found in a girl's house in Pepla village. The girl was also shot. He was taken to the hospital but died. An illegal pistol has been recovered from the spot. The girl's father and brother have been detained for questioning.
