The PACT Act and your VA benefits The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve. And you can file a claim for PACT Act-related disability compensation or apply for VA health care now. The PACT ACT Bill of 2022 passed with the Senate last night and is awaiting the President's signature. I thought I would put out some noteworthy information that I took away from the bill. Keep in mind, even after the President signs it into law, it is going to take some time for the VHA and VBA to get on board with these changes. So we don't have any clear answers to your claim or appeal questions until the VHA and VBA catch up.
