Hello everyone and welcome to a rant/discussion about live service games from the perspective of a completionist. This is something that I have been thinking a lot about recently and I really wanted to share some of my ideas on this topic. I want to say that I don't have any problems with live service games as a whole. I love many different live service games, I would not want any of those games to go away, and I don't want any future games to be canceled because of live-service games. However, there are a variety of issues that live service games have and I want to talk about one of those today. And that issue is from the perspective of approaching live service games as someone who is a completionist. Where live service games are designed to keep presenting content for you to engage with. And if you are someone who wants to complete a game in it's entirety, that means there is always going to be more stuff that you need to complete. And all of this raises many issues, which I discuss in this video.
