The annual Nordtrad Conference was hosted by Syddansk Musikkonservatorium – Danish National Academy of Music in Esbjerg, Denmark In April 2015. 141 students and teachers from Scandinavia and the Baltics participated.The academy in Esbjerg is the home institution of the only higher education folk music education in Denmark. www.sdmk.dk Follow our folk music department on Facebook: www.facebook.com/folkekons This clip is from the final concert where mixed ensembles presented the music thay had been working on during the week. Besides ensemble playing the Nordtrad Conference also presented workshops, clinics, masterclasses, presentations, dance evening, teachers' meetings, field trip to Fanø and polka battles among other activities during 5 intensive days. Nordtrad is part of Nordplus Music NordplusMusic is a cooperation between the networks and institutions of higher music education in the Nordic and Baltic countries, including 40 music academies, universities, colleges and universities of applied sciences. The aim of Nordplus Music is to coordinate the member institutions’ joint activities within internationalisation such as mobility, curriculum development, funding and strategic development.
