(6 Feb 2026) RESTRICTION SUMMARY: ASSOCIATED PRESS Gaza City, Gaza Strip – 6 February 2026 1. Moment of missile hitting building near cemetery, UPSOUND explosion, zoom out 2. Wide of smoke rising into sky after Israeli airstrike hit building 3. Various of people gathering near rubble of destroyed building STORYLINE: The Israeli army struck a building in Gaza City on Friday after issuing a warning. The building, located near a cemetery in Zeitoun, was flattened by the strike and was captured by an Associated Press camera. No victims were reported as the place was previously evacuated. The Israeli military said the attack was in response to violations of the ceasefire deal that was put in place since last October, and without providing evidence, said it hit Hamas infrastructure used "to manufacture weapons, as well as a weapons storage facility". More than 54 people have been killed since last Saturday across Gaza Strip, 24 of them on Wednesday, including 5 children, two of them a 10-day-old baby girl and the other 5 months old. Many in Gaza wondered what had become of the ceasefire reached between Israel and Hamas in October. Both sides accuse the other of violations, even as they continue to push ahead with the fragile process. More than 550 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since the U.S.-brokered truce came into effect, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Four Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza in the same period, with more injured, including a soldier who was severely wounded overnight. Little progress has been made on larger issues concerning Gaza's future. Other aspects of the agreement have stalled, including the deployment of an international security force, Hamas' disarmament and the start of Gaza's reconstruction. The opening of the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt raised hope of further progress, but fewer than 50 people were allowed to cross daily in both directions and the opening was marred with delays and denounces of mistreatment for Palestinians trying to return into Gaza. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
