February 16, 2025 Extreme cold -30 C temperatures were the order of the day. The beginning of the video is where we are at the halfway point of the ride and we are stopped for a little break and wait for all the sleds in the group to gather. I would say there was about 25 sleds in all, a really nice mix of different styles and brands of vintage sleds. At the end of the video is where we start having a little misfortune with actually three sleds breaking down at the same spot in the bush trail. First was the older Polaris that was hard starting but eventually did get going, then the Arctic Cat Eltigré had the spring long end go through a track window, and then my Brother Andy’s 1973 JD 400 just refused to restart again for that day and the recoil starter was sticking badly. We had to leave it behind and Andy hopped on the back of my JDX4 for a double ride back about another ten miles to Clubhouse at the start of the ride . -No Risk No Story No Glory ! -I don’t like just sitting anywhere idling because it means I’m not riding! -Summer, Fall, Winter or Spring!
