A collection of songs and visual gags based on book titles. Originally released in 1938, this film features many snippets of songs from the Warner Brothers music publishing division, which was a requirement of the Merrie Melodies cartoons at that time (Looney Tunes cartoons of the same era did not have this rule but were often made in black and white as well). Among the songs featured in this cartoon are "Old King Cole" and "Have You Got Any Castles, Baby" which were written by composer Richard A Whiting, who is best known for the song "Good Ship Lollipop", among others. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_... and / myidealmusic According to Wikipedia, it was re-issued in 1947 as a "Blue Ribbon Merrie Melodies" with some edits made, all of which have now been restored excepting for the original title cards. No onscreen credits are given for writer, director, singers, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Have_You... This film is in the public domain. It was originally released by Warner Brothers.
