NV Energy seeks rate hike approval to offset investments amid record heat

Tuesday, NV Energy customers in southern Nevada received an email about the utility filing for a Regulatory Rate Review. This means the utility is asking the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada to approve a rate increase of up to 9 percent. NV Energy says this is needed to recover from investments made before the hottest summer on record to ensure long-term affordability, reliability, and sustainability of electric services in Nevada.
