Cascades Gorge Hike, Hot Springs, VA

Hiking the Cascades Gorge at the Omni Homestead resort in Hot Springs, VA. We have hiked this several times. we have had several different guides, but Brian was our guide on 2 of those. if you decide to take this hike be sure to have Brian as your guide. he is quite the entertainer and has a wealth of knowledge of the fauna, foliage and local wildlife. The hike is just under 2 miles and ascends up the gorge about 600 feet. The trail is a mixture of gravel, boardwalks, bridges and some rocky patches. Be sure to wear hiking boots. Utilize walking sticks if you have access to them. The hike takes around 3 hours to complete. At the end of this video, our guide, Brian, shows his skills at bird and animal calls.
