What is the difference between Laser Genesis and PICO Genesis? ⬇️ Laser Genesis is a non-ablative laser (which means the laser works by heating up the underlying skin tissue without harming the surface)that gently warms the skin and penetrates to stimulate collagen production. Not only does it help stimulate collagen production, but it also helps reduce redness, improves fine lines and wrinkles, and can even improve mild acne scarring. If Laser Genesis is the only treatment you're getting, it can be done 2-3 weeks apart and a series of 6 is recommended for optimal results. PICO Genesis is better suited for clients with darker skin tones, brown pigmentation, and melasma. The reason it's great for melasma is because it uses non-thermal laser energy, therefore it won't heat up the skin and risk exacerbating symptoms. To achieve optimal results we recommend a series of treatments that can be done anywhere from 4-6 weeks apart. Both of these lasers are great options for rejuvenating and improving the look of your skin with minimal to no downtime. They are also great treatments to do post-BBL or Halo as skin maintenance treatments.
